What is a Caspian Horse ?

The Caspian is a rare breed of horse from the Caspian Sea region. They are athletic small horses, that are considered hot-bloods. There are only about 300 Caspians in the US today. They are about 12 hands high, in a range of colors. They have a good disposition for a child's jumping mount. They are eligible for the American Sport Pony Registry.

Zodiac's RazzMaTazz

How about this little guy? Cute or what? His mom Ginger is a registered Shetland Pony and dad is Fiddaz a Caspian horse, shown above. He was born 6-19-2003. He is already halter trained and is gentle and friendly. He is going to make a handsome show pony. His movement is superb, he just floats over the ground. At a recent American Sport Pony testing he was judged Site Champion over 12 other mares and foals! I was so proud of him. These pictures show his color when first born, and what he looks like now, he is turning more chocolate color. He is registered as a half Caspian, and with the American Sport Pony Association. His price is $5000.
